Blog what?

Dear World (aka Janica),

I have no idea who looks at my blog, but I feel like I owe you an apology.  I would feel plain rotten if you've been checking this page in hopes that I actually write things on here.  Seeing as it's been so long, I don't really know where to begin or what to say.  Here are a few fun facts about me (similar to the 20 random things on Facebook that I never got around to doing, and hopefully less than 20):
1.  I live in Washington D.C. with 7 other girls, whom I love.
2.  I am doing my student teaching at Bell Multicultural High School.  By multicultural I mean AWESOME and not white.  Not that those two are connected in any way, but I love the diversity the students bring to the classroom.  A few of my favorite examples:
a.  (Notice I am structuring this blog like the outlined notes I make for my students!) Today Nohemy burned us a CD of Marchete music she listens and dances to everyday
b.   The students can't pronounce "Holland" so I'm known as either "Miss!" "Ms. Land" or my personal favorite, "Ms. Tierra"
3.  I want to be a teacher.  I'm suppressed this desire for quite some time, but it turns out that I love it.  I love planning, I love teaching, I love the students, and I love the excitement of it all, but I do NOT like the lack of appreciation for what teachers do.  I want to now officially apologize to all former teachers and influences in my life who worked really hard and I never thanked.
4.  I am so excited for Spring Break '09!  I'm going to down to Florida with 6 of my roommates.
5.  I spend large quantities of my time talking on the phone to two of my favorite people--Justin Edward King and Miranda Elise Buell.
6.  Point 5 reminded me of point 6, which is... I love my friends.  I love being with people and avoid being alone as much as possible.
7.  I ate falafel today.  Delicious.  It reminded me of Europe.
8.  I'm already tired of blogging.  Is that okay?  I think I'll try again later, but this is a good start, no?
